Teaching Assistant – Primary Education (Years 2–4)
Location: Torton, Kidderminster Contract: Full-time, Permanent, Term-Time Only Hours: 40 hours per week Hourly Rate: £12.87 – £14.03 (dependant and qualifications/experience)

The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils in Years 2-4, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and emotionally. With small class sizes of up to 8 students
, you’ll have the time and capacity to build meaningful, positive relationships and contribute to a safe, consistent and structured learning environment.
Your role will include:
- Supporting pupils with their learning, wellbeing and emotional regulation.
- Assisting with positive behaviour management using a personalised approach.
- Providing care support when required.
- Building warm, trusting relationships to help students feel safe, valued and ready to learn.
- Encouraging independence, emotional resilience and personal development.
- Supporting teachers in delivering high-quality, differentiated learning activities.
- Helping maintain high expectations around learning and behaviour at all times.
- Monday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Tuesday-Thursday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 4:00pm (early finish!)
- Includes 2.5 hours per week allocated for training, development or additional duties.
- GCSE English & Maths (Grade C or above)
- Experience working in an education setting
- Understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and/or complex needs (desirable)
- A positive, nurturing approach and a genuine commitment to putting the child first
- Creativity, resilience and the ability to adapt to individual needs
- Working towards (or willing to work towards)
Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools - Full clean driving licence
