Career Adviser (Maternity Cover)

We are seeking a motivated and student‑centred Careers Adviser to join our Learner Services team for a 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover). You will play a vital role in providing impartial careers information, advice and guidance to learners, supporting them to make informed decisions about their future.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience providing careers support or guidance to young people, which may be in a school/college setting, youth work, employability programmes, pastoral roles or similar.

Communicates confidently with 16‑19 year‑olds and can build positive, professional relationships.

Is passionate about supporting learners to progress into further study, apprenticeships or employment.

Can manage a varied caseload and work well within a supportive team environment.

A Level 6 qualification in Careers Guidance is desirable but not essential.

To support your development, we will fully fund and support you to complete a Level 3 Information, Advice and Guidance qualification during the 12‑month contract.

This accredited qualification is yours to keep and will strengthen your future career prospects in the guidance sector.
