ASAP - DBS Dependant SEN Teacher Required Are you a passionate and resilient SEN Teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people?

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist setting supporting children and young people with complex and high-level special educational needs. The needs of the pupils are significant and varied, requiring a teacher who can adapt their approach, build strong relationships, and create a positive learning environment where every student can succeed.

About the Role You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with a range of complex needs, including:
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs Communication and sensory needs Trauma The children require a high level of support both academically and emotionally, so experience working within an SEN environment would be highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities Deliver tailored lessons that meet individual EHCP targets Support pupils with complex and challenging needs Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents Monitor progress and maintain accurate records Promote pupils' independence, confidence, and wellbeing Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience working with SEN pupils is desirable Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills Must drive and have a clean license Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
