Aspire are currently recruiting for a compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and helping them achieve their full potential.

The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of additional needs, including:
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) ADHD Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD) Physical and sensory disabilities

Your responsibilities will include:
Providing one-to-one and small group support. Assisting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development. Implementing individual education and behaviour support plans. Supporting pupils with personal care where required. Promoting independence, confidence and positive behaviour. Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers. Recording pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff. Creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Essential Requirements A minimum of 6 months' experience working in an SEN setting or supporting children with additional needs. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential due to travel requirements). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A patient, caring and resilient nature. The ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to individual pupil needs. The right to work in the UK.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Desirable Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

Experience with PECS, Makaton, Team Teach, or other SEN-related training. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures. Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.
