We are currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join a school environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who is confident working within an educational setting and has a strong general finance background. The role requires someone who is empathetic, resilient, and able to work calmly within a challenging school environment.

Key Details - Finance Assistant

• Part-time role - 2-3 days per week
• Flexible working hours available:
  • 8am-4pm / 8am-3pm / 9am-1pm (flexible within the week)
• Start Date: January 2026 (Interviews expected December 2025)
• Pay rate: £16-£17 per hour
• Previous school experience desirable
• Enhanced DBS required - existing DBS ideal; new check can be processed if needed
• Experience with Access Education finance system beneficial, not essential

Responsibilities - Finance Assistant

• General finance administration
• Processing invoices and credit notes
• Data entry and upkeep of financial records
• Supporting day-to-day finance operations for the school

Person Specification - Finance Assistant

• Previous finance experience essential
• Experience working in a school environment beneficial
• Empathetic, patient, and able to manage challenging behaviour
• Thick-skinned and resilient
• Accurate, organised and confident handling finance data
