Are you looking for a place where you can spread your wings, flourish and feel confident, knowing you are fully supported? At Shepherds’ Vet Centre we are a friendly, independent, family‑run practice in Worcestershire committed to providing a supportive environment for all our staff. We offer a varied caseload and encourage professional development in areas of interest.
Our clinical team currently consists of 4 day vets and 1 night vet, 5 RVNs, 2 SVNs and 3 VCAs with experience ranging from 6 to 30 years. The practice holds several accreditations: dog‑friendly status (Dogs Trust/BVBA), fear‑free, Gold ISFM cat‑friendly, Silver RWAF rabbit‑friendly, and RCVS‑accredited. We are one of the first UK practices to achieve these recognitions.
State‑of‑the‑art facilities include separate dog and cat wards, 4 consulting rooms, digital and dental X‑ray, high‑quality ultrasound with Doppler, in‑house lab, endoscope, optic loop, Tonovet pen, cautery and laser therapy.
We are looking for a small animal veterinary surgeon to join our team. Our vets work a 4‑day week (2 days 9‑7 and 2 days 9‑5). You will share Saturday morning consults (9 am‑12:30 pm) 1:4 and may discuss participating in the on‑call rota if desired. Days are structured so that two vets consult, one operates and one manages medical cases and in‑patients, with dedicated operating days at least once or twice a week.
