Are you an experienced Buyer looking to take ownership of procurement across high-quality residential developments? This is an opportunity to join a well-established construction business with a strong regional pipeline, where your commercial expertise will directly support the delivery of sustainable, well-designed homes.

, this role offers long‑term stability, autonomy, and the chance to work closely with delivery teams on live and future projects.

Role Overview

As Buyer, you will play a key role within the Commercial team, responsible for the procurement of materials and services across multiple residential sites. You’ll work collaboratively with site, technical, and commercial colleagues to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• Procuring construction materials and subcontract services across live and upcoming residential developments
• Negotiating prices, terms, and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors
• Managing procurement schedules to support site programmes and delivery targets
• Monitoring cost performance and reporting against budgets
• Working closely with site managers, quantity surveyors, and technical teams
• Supporting value engineering and buildability initiatives
• Tracking supplier performance and maintaining strong, long‑term relationships

About You

This role will suit a commercially aware construction professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment.

You’ll bring:

• Proven experience in a Buyer role within residential construction or house building
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
• A solid understanding of construction materials and procurement processes
• An organised, proactive, and confident approach to workload management
• Strong Excel skills; experience with COINS or similar systems is advantageous
• The ability to commute to the Oxfordshire area
