Are you an experienced Credit Controller who enjoys building positive customer relationships whilst maintaining strong financial controls?
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business based in Kidlington that is seeking a confident and proactive Credit Controller / Finance Assistant to join their friendly finance team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, combining credit control, customer interaction and wider finance support responsibilities within a successful and supportive organisation.
The RoleAs Credit Controller / Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring customer accounts are managed effectively whilst providing excellent service throughout the collection process.
- Proactively managing and collecting outstanding debt
- Chasing overdue payments via telephone, email and written correspondence
- Maintaining and reconciling customer accounts
- Allocating customer payments accurately
- Producing regular debtor and aged debt reports
- Issuing statements and supporting documentation
- Investigating and resolving payment queries
- Processing new credit account applications and conducting credit checks
- Supporting the wider finance team with additional duties as required
- Assisting in maintaining debtor days and cash flow targets
- Previous credit control and sales ledger experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- A proactive approach and confidence dealing with customers over the phone
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Sage 200 experience
- Experience with in a busy finance department
- Knowledge of credit checks and account set-up processes
- Salary up to £29,500
- Monday to Friday working hours (9am to 5pm)
