Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Master Data Quality & Governance Lead to join LGC in Kidlington, UK. This is an outstanding chance to have a key role in our organisation. You will develop and apply data quality and governance strategies across the company, ensuring master data is accurate, consistent, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply comprehensive data quality and governance frameworks aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data specialists to drive data quality initiatives and established guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify data quality issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Build and coordinate data quality metrics, reporting, and monitoring processes.
  • Establish and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Promote the use of data quality tools and approaches throughout the organisation.
  • Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Manage relationships with key collaborators to ensure alignment of data quality initiatives with business needs.
  • Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of master data management systems.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to improve data literacy and promote a data‑driven culture.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field;
    Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in data management, data quality, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated history of effectively carrying out data quality and governance initiatives.
  • Extensive knowledge of master data management systems, data quality tools, ERP platforms, and governance frameworks.
  • Preferably proficiency in SQL, database management, and business intelligence tools.
  • In‑depth knowledge of data quality methodologies and guidelines.
  • Experience in training and mentoring cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence collaborators at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR) related to data management.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Data Governance and Quality Professional (DGQP) are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change and drive adoption of new processes and technologies.
