The RoleWe are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join a precision engineering business based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire.
The company manufactures high-quality, complex and innovative precision-engineered components for a diverse range of industries, including F1 motor sport, automotive, scientific, medical, aerospace and renewable energy.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner who is confident programming, setting and operating multi-axis CNC lathes and enjoys working on complex, high-precision components.
Key Responsibilities- Programming, setting and operating Goodway and DMG CNC multi-axis lathes
- Manufacturing complex components in line with customer drawings and 3D models
- Carrying out manual inspections to ensure components meet required specifications
- Working to fine tolerances and achieving high-quality surface finishes
- Following workplace processes and maintaining accurate production documentation
- Operating more than one machine where required
- Working efficiently to meet production requirements and quality standards
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner / Programmer / Setter / Operator
- Strong experience with Fanuc machine controls
- Competent in CNC programming, setting and operating
- Experience operating multi-axis CNC lathes
- Experience manufacturing high-precision components
- Ability to work to fine tolerances and demanding surface finish requirements
- Experience working with aerospace alloys, stainless steel, Inconel, titanium and magnesium
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and models
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
- 20 days holiday, increasing to 25 days after one year’s service, plus bank holidays

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated CNC Turner with a professional attitude and a strong background in precision engineering.
You will be comfortable working independently, operating multiple machines and producing complex components to exacting standards. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
