Based in Yarnton, this full-time Electro-Mechanical Assembler position offers a salary of £26,500 per annum, with working hours from Monday to Friday. Your primary function involves constructing mechanical and electronic units from technical drawings, alongside assembling and verifying camera systems. You will inspect completed items to ensure they adhere to rigorous quality standards, diagnosing and rectifying basic mechanical faults while swapping out defective parts.

The remit also covers product testing, packing, and dispatch preparation, plus supporting goods-in when necessary. You will maintain organised stock, assist with kit preparation, and collaborate with the engineering team to refine production methods. A methodical approach, manual dexterity, and prior experience with assembly work are essential.

What will you be doing?
  • Building and assembling mechanical and electronic components using drawings and instructions.
  • Assembling and checking camera and other electro-mechanical products.
  • Inspecting finished products to make sure they meet high-quality standards.
  • Finding and fixing basic mechanical faults and replacing faulty components where required.
  • Carrying out testing, packing and preparing products for dispatch.
  • Receiving deliveries and checking incoming stock when required.
  • Helping with stock checks, kit preparation and keeping materials organised.
  • Working closely with the engineering team to suggest improvements to products and the assembly process.
  • Keeping your work area clean, tidy and organised.
  • Following health & safety, quality and company procedures.
  • Working as part of a team while also being able to work independently and meet deadlines.
What are we looking for?
  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, electronic assembly or similar is preferred.
  • Good attention to detail and a careful approach to your work.
  • Comfortable working from drawings, instructions and technical information.
  • Organised, reliable and able to work to deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
