About UsDrPA has been operating in secure environments since 2014, providing General Practitioner services. We are now expanding to deliver a complete healthcare service at Campsfield House IRC by NHS England. This will be delivered directly or through specialist partners who are experts in their fields. The role will involve working alongside a multi-disciplinary team to deliver an excellent, evidence-based, person-centred, and non-judgemental healthcare service. Responsibilities include medication rounds, emergency response, triage and assessment, minor illness and injury management, long-term condition care, reception screening, health promotion, and serving as the named lead nurse for an area of healthcare. Night shifts will be part of the rota.
Key Responsibilities- Complete medication rounds and dispense controlled medication
- Attend emergency response situations
- Triage and assess patients
- Manage and care for minor illness and injuries
- Assess, evaluate and implement care for long-term conditions
- Undertake reception screening
- Complete health promotion
- Serve as the named lead nurse for an area of healthcare
- Current professional qualification (NMC) with no restrictions to practice
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Ability to participate in multi-professional teamwork
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Belief in and commitment to DrPA Secures values
- Experience of supervising and mentoring junior staff
- Up-to-date clinical knowledge of wound management, including complex wounds
- Knowledge in substance misuse
- Previous experience within a secure setting or primary health care setting
- Experience of patient assessment and triage
- Competence in venepuncture
- Management of long-term conditions
- Complete the Disclosure and Barring Service check, including a Counter Terrorism Clearance (CTC) process
