Role OverviewSupport Workers provide practical and emotional support to individuals with learning disabilities, enabling them to live fulfilling lives. The role requires flexibility, empathy, and strong communication skills, as well as the ability to drive.
Key Responsibilities- Assist individuals with daily living activities
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Promote independence, dignity, and choice
- Build meaningful relationships with service users
- Work flexibly across shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures
- Genuine passion for supporting others
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- Positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities
- Flexibility to work varied shifts
- Valid driving licence
- Previous experience in care or support work (not essential)
