Responsibilities- Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within the store.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Demonstrate genuine care and contribute to a safe and inclusive culture where all people feel valued and empowered.
- Complete a rigorous company training program and satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements.
- Follow all company SOPs at each workstation and pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, offering immunizations, and solving or escalating patient problems.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as putting away medication deliveries and performing cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and waiting bin inventories.
- Embrace a growth mindset, seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge, and actively seek feedback.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including voluntary travel to other stores as required.
- Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles.
- Deliver additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point‑of‑care testing, where allowable by law and supported by required training and certification.
- Obtain Technician Immunizer status through licensure and training per state Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Educate patients about the importance of vaccines and refer them to the Pharmacist‑on‑Duty for vaccination questions.
- Monitor and respond to adverse reactions; report events per public health requirements.
- Review and collect patient information; track and document for each vaccine administered.
- Monitor and manage vaccine supplies.
- Comply with state board of pharmacy requirements governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification.
- Be at least 16 years of age if no minimum age requirement is specified.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or a high school equivalency program if no minimum educational requirement is specified.
- Meet state‑level licensure and national certification requirements as vary by state.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to complete required training within a designated timeframe.
- Attention and focus to concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly, and confirm prescription information and labeling accuracy.
- Customer service and team orientation: look for ways to help people, respond appropriately to patients’ reactions, and maintain a friendly manner.
- Communication skills: use verbal and written communication effectively, actively listen, ask questions, and not interrupt improperly.
