The Opportunity

This is not a traditional HR role – in a good way! Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with leadership to develop and execute people and talent strategies that support business objectives.
  • Develop leaders through coaching, mentoring, training, and ongoing support.
  • Build and enhance talent management, succession planning, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, including key leadership and professional-level positions.
  • Implement effective onboarding and employee development programs.
  • Drive performance management processes, goal setting, and employee growth opportunities.
  • Support employee engagement, retention, recognition, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Conduct employee feedback, stay interviews, and exit interviews to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Partner with outside HR resources and legal counsel to support compliance and employment best practices.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in leadership development, organizational development, talent management, recruiting, human resources, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated experience building, leading, or significantly enhancing a people function within a growing organization.
  • Proven success developing employees and leaders while driving measurable organizational results.
  • Full-cycle recruiting experience, including leadership-level hiring.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to align people strategies with organizational priorities.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to independently drive initiatives, exercise sound judgment, and influence across all levels of an organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting construction, trades, operations, manufacturing, or other field-based work forces.
  • Familiarity with Topgrading, EOS, Scaling Up, Metronomics, or similar business operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Hawai?i employment laws and workplace practices.
