We’re expanding our team and seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing and purchasing efforts that support our continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Design and execute purchasing strategies that align with company goals and improve cost efficiency, supplier performance, and operational reliability.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the most favorable pricing, terms, and quality standards.
- Cross‑Department
Collaboration:
Partner with internal stakeholders across operations, maintenance, safety, and finance to forecast needs and ensure timely procurement of materials and services. - Market Research & Cost Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging vendors to optimize sourcing decisions.
- Process Improvement & Leadership: Support the development of procurement policies, procedures, and documentation to standardize purchasing practices company‑wide.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or professional certifications (CPM, CPSM, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive procurement or purchasing experience, ideally in transportation, logistics, or industrial sectors.
- Experience in construction procurement is preferred.
- Experience establishing or refining a procurement program is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook);
Quick Base or similar platforms preferred. - Primarily office‑based role at our Kilgore, TX headquarters.
- Hybrid/remote flexibility available after successfully established.
- Occasional travel to district locations, supplier facilities, and industry events.
