Position Highlights- Full‑Time:
Monday‑Friday 8:00AM‑4:30PM EST - Location:
Killeen, TX 76549 (one location) - Processing medical record requests by taking calls from patients, insurance companies and attorneys to provide medical status.
- Documenting information in multiple platforms using two computer monitors.

- Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with Company policies.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all privileged information.
- Maintain working knowledge of Company software.
- Adhere to the Company’s Code of Conduct and privacy policies.
- Assist with additional work duties or responsibilities as required.
- Consistently apply medical privacy regulations to guard against unauthorized disclosure.
- Manage patient health records and safeguard compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Prepares new patient charts, gathering documents from paper sources and electronic health records.
- Ensures medical records are accurate, complete and assembled in standard order.
- Creates digital images of paperwork to store in the electronic medical record.
- Responds to requests for patient records, both within the facility and by external sources.
- Answer inbound and outbound calls.
- May assist with patient walk‑ins, faxes, opening mail and data entry.
- Assist with training associates in the HIS I position.
- Generates reports for manager or facility as directed.
- Must exceed Level 1 productivity expectations at the specific site.
- Participates in project teams and committees to advance operational strategies.
- Acts in a lead role with staff regarding general questions and assists with new hire training and developmental training.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Able to travel locally/regional 75% or more of the time.
- Ability to commute between locations as needed.
- Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required.
- 1 year of Health Information related experience.
- Meets and/or exceeds Company’s Productivity Standards.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Comfortable utilizing phones, fax machine, printers and general office equipment.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Detail‑oriented with accurate and compliant medical record information.
- Must work with minimum supervision, responding to changing priorities.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks.
- Able to respond to requests in a fast‑paced environment.
- Previous production and metric‑based work experience.
- Ability to build relationships with on‑site clients and customers.
- Comfortable bringing new ideas, process improvement suggestions and feedback to stakeholders.
