POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team and provide patient care at the VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). In this role, you will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to provide world‑class healthcare to the most deserving patient population in the country – US Veterans. Your leadership and clinical expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that our Veterans receive the highest standard of care.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Examine the patient/client and determine the best course of action while documenting in our paperless health program (VAs VISTA/CPRS electronic patient record system).
  • Develop and implement patient management plans, communicating with Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) to ensure appropriate standards of care.
  • Discuss patient outcomes, policies, procedures, and records with Medical Director.
  • Complete all clinical reminders to keep each patient up to date in the system.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and graduate of an accredited program for nurse practitioners (MSN required).
  • Board‑certified in family practice or internal medicine.
  • Certification by an applicable professional organization.
  • 1 year of clinical medical practice preferred.
  • Current, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment.
  • Current BLS for providers from the American Heart Association (to be renewed annually).
  • Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Must be able to pass a federal background check.
