Seeking an experienced Service Now CMDB Developer to join our growing Service Now practice. This is a remote opportunity for professionals who are passionate about building and maintaining a robust Configuration Management Database (CMDB), enabling IT Operations Management (ITOM), and driving enterprise-wide service visibility.
As a Service Now CMDB Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting CMDB solutions, Service Now Discovery, Service Mapping, and ITOM capabilities. You will work closely with infrastructure, cloud, application, and service management teams to ensure high-quality configuration data, compliance with CSDM standards, and seamless integration across the Service Now platform.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain CMDB solutions within Service Now.
- Configure and support Discovery, Service Mapping, and MID Servers.
- Implement Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) and CMDB governance processes.
- Integrate CMDB with ITSM, ITOM, Asset Management, and cloud platforms.
- Develop Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Flow Designer solutions.
- Build REST/SOAP integrations with enterprise applications.
- Improve data quality, service visibility, and CMDB health across the organization.
- Support platform upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align CMDB architecture with CSDM and ITIL best practices.
- 5+ years of Service Now Development experience
- Strong expertise in CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping
- Hands-on experience with ITOM and ITSM modules
- Knowledge of CSDM, IRE, and CMDB Governance
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and REST/SOAP APIs
- Experience with MID Server configuration and cloud integrations (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices
Skills:
- AIOps/Event Management
- HAM, SAM, Sec Ops, or GRC exposure
- Service Now certifications (CSA/CAD/CIS-ITOM
