Drop Technician

AFL manufactures industry‑leading fiber optic cable, connectivity and accessories and provides engineering and installation services for some of the largest telecom customers in the world. ITC Service Group – a wholly owned subsidiary of AFL – delivers managed services and workforce solutions for the nationwide planning, design, construction, installation and maintenance of voice, data and video networks.

$19/hr + $2,000 Sign‑on bonus. Multiple schedule options available (including 4‑10 hour shifts). Weekly pay.

Job Summary: AFL is looking for motivated individuals to join our fiber splicing team. Experience in the telecom industry is preferred but not required; we will fully train you to splice fiber optics, including underground and aerial splicing and running fiber drops for residential and commercial customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform fiber optic splicing underground and aerial
• Run fiber drops for residential and commercial customers
• Operate when needed in extreme heat/cold, rain, snow and inclement weather
• Carry, handle and climb 28‑ft ladders; work at heights such as splicing fiber on utility poles and strands
• Work weekends and holidays as required
• Collaborate within a team and work independently with little supervision

Employment Requirements:

• Valid state driver’s license and non‑negligent driving record
• Pre‑employment background check and drug/alcohol screening

Preferred Qualifications:

• Telecom – cable or fiber splicing experience
• Landscaping and/or physical labor experience
