Job Title

M1 Abrams Field Service Mechanic

Must be shorter than 6' 4" and weigh less than 260 lbs

Ft Cavazos, TX with up to 70% travel to CONUS Military Bases

$31.31/hr ($26.38-base + $4.93-benefit pay) + 10 paid holidays/year after 90 days + sick time

• Experienced mechanic to perform deprocessing and maintenance tasks on variations of Abrams tanks (M1A1 ED, M1A2 SEP V2) vehicles. (Training will be provided)
• Provide input to program planning, schedules, and maintenance techniques for Abrams Fleet vehicles.
• Identify technical problems and assist Field Service Representative in performing maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership responsible for maintenance.

• Must have three (3) or more years of mechanic experience. Experience working on Abrams M1A2 SEP Tanks or similar vehicles such as Bradley, M88, etc. is a plus, but NOT required.
• Must be able to gain access to US Military facilities or bases, including a NACI clearance if required.
• Must be a U.S. person.
• Must have a valid State Driver's License and be able to obtain a tank driver's license.
• Must meet the anthropometric requirements (ASR) to enter the driver's station or into an enclosed military vehicle.
• Must be willing to travel within the United States (up to 70% travel) to perform maintenance tasks and deprocessing.
• Must be able to successfully pass the Job Proficiency Certification for Abrams fleet vehicles.
• Be able to work autonomously with government personnel.
