SUMMARY:
The Ultrasound Technologist performs technical procedures associated with the application of ultrasound for the diagnosis of disease or injury. The Ultrasound Technologist provides patient services, neonatal through geriatric, using imaging modalities in an efficient professional manner and with sensitivity to patient needs. Accurately documents, files and maintains patient record. Schedules exams and responds to patient/physician questions. May also perform other various duties pertaining to the Department of Diagnostic Imaging.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
One year of formal training in ultrasonography preferred, however New Grads encouraged to apply!
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION:
Must maintain registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or provide proof of eligibility to become registered.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a graduate of an Allied Health training program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation.
