Established on July 1st, 2013, East Ayrshire Leisure is responsible for managing and operating a wide range of cultural, countryside, and sports facilities and services. The organisation is committed to enhancing community well-being through quality leisure experiences.

It plays a key role in managing diverse initiatives and spaces for the benefit of East Ayrshire residents.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kilmarnock for a Co-ordinator in reception and kids' activities at East Ayrshire Leisure. The Co-ordinator will oversee the daily reception operations, ensure excellent customer experiences, and manage or assist with planning and supervising kids' activities and events. Additional responsibilities include maintaining operational efficiency, responding to visitor inquiries, and ensuring compliance with organisational policies at the facility.

The Co-ordinator may also handle scheduling, administrative tasks, and assist in promoting leisure programmes to the local community.

Qualifications
  • Strong customer service, reception, and front‑of‑house skills to ensure positive visitor experiences.
  • Organisational and administrative skills, including scheduling, record‑keeping, and attention to detail.
  • Experience in planning and supervising activities, particularly for children, with an ability to engage and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor to interact with a diverse audience.
  • Understanding of health and safety policies, ensuring a safe environment for all visitors and staff.
  • Proficiency in basic IT systems and software for general office tasks.
  • Experience or interest in leisure, cultural, or sports programmes is considered an advantage.
