Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Manager within our Diagnostic Services Division based at University Hospital Crosshouse
Hours and Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday 36 hours per week
What you will do:
The Business Manager for Diagnostic is a key role within Acute Services to ensure that business performance targets and clinical governance quality standards are consistently met.
The postholder will build robust systems and processes and lead on the effective delivery of the Division’s business functions including:
- meeting structures,
- strategic planning cycles,
- performance management,
- financial planning,
- administration,
- risk management
- staff governance arrangements
On behalf of the Operations Manager, the postholder will lead on projects which can include implementation/design of services and implementation of national policy. As such, the Business Manager will represent NHS Ayrshire and Arran across a wide range of local, regional and national forums. The post holder will be required to work with various staff to provide advice, guidance and direction to identified Programme and Project Leads across the different services to ensure the governance and assurance is met for all business requirements and to facilitate and meet deadlines.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
- Management qualification to degree level together with significant Business Management experience.
- Management training/development to post graduate level or equivalent experience
- Demonstrate evidence of CPD.
- Project Management Qualification such as Prince 2
- Significant knowledge of the health and care sector.
- Demonstrable success in projects and change management, preferably within a service delivery setting.
- Evidence of business management roles and developing innovative and creative solutions to achieve organisation objectives within a Healthcare or related environment.
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of governance principles and the development of systems and frameworks to establish clear accountabilities based on effective performance management protocols.
- Budget management experience
- Ability to demonstrate integrity, effective leadership and management skills.
- Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills.
- Driving Licence
