Site Manager – Substation | Scotland
Contract / Freelance
We’re hiring an experienced Site Manager to deliver a key substation package in the Scottish Highlands. This is a hands‑on leadership role managing both civils & electrical works, with direct responsibility for subcontractors and liaison with the client.
What you’ll be doing- Managing day‑to‑day site operations on a live substation project
- Coordinating civils & electrical subcontractors
- Liasing with the client
- Driving programme, quality, and HSE compliance
- Overseeing RAMS, permits, and site documentation
- Strong substation / HV project experience
- Background in both civils and electrical scopes
- Experience working with DNOs (SSEN ideal)
- SMSTS + CSCS (Black/ECS Manager)
- Confident managing subcontractors and client relationships
- BESC / National Grid Person / SHEA Power
- Temporary Works knowledge
- Renewable or wind farm project experience
- Competitive rate (DOE)
- Long‑term project
- Major UK renewable energy scheme
