Client Overview

Our client is a highly successful and expanding hospitality and leisure operator with an established portfolio of venues and an ambitious growth strategy across Scotland. With a strong reputation for quality, innovation and customer experience, they continue to invest significantly in new developments and refurbishments across hospitality, leisure, and accommodation projects.

As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their property team and play a key role in delivering a varied pipeline of projects across Scotland.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Director of Property, the Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of new-build, refurbishment and accommodation development projects from initial feasibility through to final handover.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors and design teams, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards while supporting the organisation's operational and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple new build, fit-out and refurbishment projects through all stages of the project lifecycle, from feasibility and design coordination through to construction and completion.
  • Manage project programmes, budgets, procurement activities, contractor appointments and commercial performance to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate and maintain effective relationships with architects, designers, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders throughout the development process.
  • Monitor project quality, construction progress, programme performance and risk, taking proactive action to resolve challenges and maintain delivery objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, planning requirements, health & safety legislation and CDM responsibilities.
  • Chair project meetings, provide regular progress reporting to senior stakeholders and maintain clear project documentation.
  • Oversee project handovers, snagging activities and operational readiness, ensuring completed developments meet business and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering construction, refurbishment or development projects valued at £2m+.
  • Significant project management experience within hospitality, leisure, retail, commercial property or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, procurement routes, contract administration and project delivery methodologies.
  • Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning processes and health & safety legislation.
  • Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, cost plans and financial reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across Scotland.
  • Degree or professional qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body such as CIOB, RICS, APM or equivalent.
  • Previous experience within hospitality, leisure or accommodation developments.
