AboutThe Role
Our Graduate Engineers provide support to our team of external Business Development Managers, in the delivery of engineered quotations for the supply of valves, penstocks, fittings and installation services across the UK Clean water, Wastewater & Hydropower industries. This role provides hands‑on experience across technical engineering, design & commercial project support, you’ll be part of our next generation of engineering and commercial talent within AVK in the UK.
Based at our state‑of‑the‑art facility in Kilmarnock, Scotland you will be part of an expanding team that delivers essential engineered commercial solutions to our customer base throughout the UK.
- Support our Business Development Market Segment Lead in delivering valve and hydromechanical gate projects.
- Assist with mechanical technical reviews of drawings and tender documentation.
- Help prepare quotations and coordinate project documentation.
- Liaise with customers to ensure full technical compliance with project requirements.
- Liaise with AVK Group suppliers to ensure we provide a full suite of engineered project solutions.
- Participate in on‑site surveys to understand the complexities of projects first hand.
- First‑class product and industry awareness training

- A degree in Mechanical, Civil, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
- Familiarity with CAD tools is an advantage but not essential.
- An aptitude for commercial activity would be an advantage.
