Payroll Senior Executive

Description As one of our Payroll Senior Executives, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll services for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal standards.

Location: Kilmarnock

• Accurately process payrolls of varying complexity in line with client deadlines and statutory requirements.
• Perform manual calculations for gross-to-net payslips, including complex tax codes, high tax bandings, and retrospective adjustments.
• Independently manage a portfolio of complex payrolls, proactively plan workload, and provide compliance guidance to clients.
• Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients throughout the payroll cycle.
• Keep up to date with Auto-Enrolment legislation, statutory absence rules, and HMRC requirements.
• Apply GDPR principles and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Share knowledge and provide guidance to junior team members.
• Mentor and coach team members, contribute to process improvements, and act as a role model for Dains Values.
• Manage workload effectively and seek support when needed.

• Level 3 Payroll Qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with payroll software and integrations.
• Proven ability to manage complex payrolls and mentor team members.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office; advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) desirable.
• Ability to work to deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
