Finance Business Partner

We are partnering with a growing and ambitious hospitality business in Ayrshire to recruit a Finance Business Partner. This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional who thrives on turning data into meaningful insight and influencing operational decision‑making.

Whether you currently work as a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance Analyst, Management Accountant or Business Intelligence Analyst, this role offers the opportunity to step into a highly visible position where you'll work closely with operational leaders and senior stakeholders to improve performance, profitability and strategic decision‑making.

The Opportunity

As Finance Business Partner, you'll be a key link between Finance and Operations, using financial and operational data to identify trends, challenge performance, support decision‑making and drive continuous improvement.

You'll partner directly with operational management teams, providing robust analysis, commercial recommendations and actionable insight that influences business outcomes.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being in the business, building relationships, asking questions, and confidently challenging stakeholders where necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with Operations and departmental leaders to drive financial performance.
  • Produce and analyse financial and operational KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes.
  • Deliver meaningful commentary and analysis on business performance.
  • Investigate variances and identify underlying commercial drivers.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards to enhance visibility and decision‑making.
  • Provide support for investment appraisals, business cases, and growth initiatives.
  • Work with large datasets to identify trends and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in developing more efficient reporting processes and automation.
  • Influence stakeholders through data‑driven recommendations and commercial insight.
  • Support the continued development of a data‑led decision‑making culture.
About You

We are keen to hear from candidates with backgrounds in:

  • Finance Business Partnering
  • Commercial Finance Analysis
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Management Accounting
  • Business Intelligence / Data Analysis with strong commercial exposure

You will be naturally curious, commercially aware, and confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Experience with in a finance, commercial analysis, or business intelligence environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience producing meaningful management information and performance analysis.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial or operational information in a clear and engaging way.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge constructively.
  • Ability to influence decision‑making through insight and evidence.
Desirable
  • Hospitality, retail, leisure, or other multi‑site sector experience.
  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Progress towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experience working with operational teams in a fast‑paced commercial environment.
