An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse based at Central Clinic, Kilmarnock. This post is offered on a permanent basis.

21.6 hours per week. From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full‑time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part‑time staff) without loss of earnings.

A UK driving licence is essential for this role.

The successful candidate will support the seamless delivery of the childhood vaccination programme for pre‑5 children to all GP practices within East Ayrshire. They will also work within the School Nursing Service to manage the expectation of priority pathways of need, particularly around the emotional wellbeing needs of school‑age children.

Applicants must be a 1 level Registered Nurse and a degree in a related field such as Nursing or Health Studies is desirable, with evidence of further professional development. Excellent communication skills, a passion for improving outcomes for children, and the ability to be flexible and work within a large team supporting the wellbeing of children are essential qualities.

To work in the United Kingdom, an individual must demonstrate a relevant permission to work in the country.
