Position

University Hospital Crosshouse – Bank Porter

Post requires very flexible availability over 7 days per week, 24 hours a day and the role will cover all aspects of Portering duties. Working as and when required with a focus of weekend and evening availability. From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced.
Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.

UK Driving Licence

A UK driving licence is essential for this role.

What you will do

The post covers all general Portering duties included in the attached job description.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required for this post

Applicants should be physically fit. Previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage, however full training will be provided. Compulsory that any new staff recruited to NHS Ayrshire and Arran complete Corporate Induction.
