21.6 hours per week. From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will reduce; full‑time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours, pro‑rata for part‑time staff, without loss of earnings.

A full UK/EU/EEA driving licence is essential for this role.

The successful candidate will support the seamless delivery of the childhood vaccination programme for pre‑5 children to all GP practices within East Ayrshire. They will also work within the School Nursing Service to manage priority pathways of need, particularly around the emotional well‑being needs of school‑age children.

Applicants must be a 1st level Registered Nurse and hold a degree in a related field such as Nursing or Health Studies (desirable). Evidence of further professional development is required. Excellent communication skills, a passion for improving outcomes for children, flexibility, and the ability to work within a large team supporting children's wellbeing are essential qualities.

To work in the United Kingdom, applicants must demonstrate the relevant right to work. NHS Ayrshire & Arran may offer visa sponsorship for eligible posts, based on salary threshold and other criteria. Sponsorship is assessed on a case‑by‑case basis after interview and initial pre‑employment checks. The advertised salary is based on a full‑time contract and must be pro‑rated for part‑time positions.
