Quantity Surveyor - Civil Construction

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Kimberley, managing costs for civil construction projects. This role is responsible for controlling and managing all costs related to construction projects from initial tender stage through to final completion. You will play a key part in procurement, contract administration, and ensuring the financial viability of projects. • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Undertake cost analysis for maintenance and construction projects.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining cost-control systems.
• Administer contracts, including managing variations, claims, and payments.
• Valuation of work done and preparation of interim payment applications.
• Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements and ensure financial compliance.

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management principles.
• Proficiency in measurement and costing software, including bills of quantities preparation.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
