Animator - 2D & 3D Animation Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a versatile Animator proficient in both 2D and 3D animation techniques to join their creative studio in Kimberley . You will be responsible for bringing characters, objects, and scenes to life through fluid and engaging animation for a variety of projects, including marketing content, educational materials, and interactive experiences. This role demands a strong understanding of animation principles, timing, and storytelling, combined with technical expertise in animation software.

You will collaborate with the creative team to develop captivating animated sequences that meet project objectives and delight audiences.

• Create high-quality 2D and 3D animations for characters, objects, and environments.
• Apply fundamental animation principles such as squash and stretch, anticipation, timing, and follow-through to create realistic and appealing motion.
• Collaborate with the art and design teams to understand animation requirements and ensure consistency with the overall visual style.
• Rig characters and objects for animation, ensuring proper functionality and flexibility.
• Work with storyboards and animatics to plan and execute animation sequences.
• Optimize animation assets for performance and delivery across various platforms.

• Proven experience as an Animator, with a portfolio showcasing strong 2D and 3D animation skills across various styles.
• Proficiency in 2D animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony) and 3D animation software (e.g., Maya, Blender, 3ds Max).
• Strong understanding of character rigging and animation principles.
• Excellent eye for detail, timing, and motion dynamics.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously in Kimberley .
