Urban Design Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Urban Design Architect to contribute to shaping the future of urban environments from their practice in Kimberley . This role involves leading the design and planning of urban spaces, focusing on creating sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environments for communities. You will work on master planning, strategic development projects, and public realm design, collaborating with various stakeholders including government bodies, developers, and community groups.

The hybrid work model allows for effective collaboration and client engagement, ensuring a balanced approach to project delivery.

• Develop comprehensive urban design strategies and master plans for city districts and new developments.
• Create site analysis, conceptual designs, and detailed design guidelines for urban projects.
• Coordinate with landscape architects, civil engineers, and other consultants to integrate services and infrastructure.
• Engage with public and private stakeholders through workshops, presentations, and consultations.
• Ensure designs adhere to principles of sustainability, resilience, and social equity.

• Degree in Architecture or Urban Planning, with a specialization in Urban Design.
• 5+ years of experience in urban design and master planning.
• Proficiency in urban design software (e.g., GIS, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong understanding of urban planning principles, zoning regulations, and public policy.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills for a hybrid collaboration model .
