About the Role  Our client is seeking a dedicated Chemical Process Development Engineer to join their innovative R&D team in Kimberley . This role is crucial for bridging the gap between laboratory discoveries and industrial-scale manufacturing. You will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and scaling up new chemical processes, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and economically viable. This position offers a dynamic environment where you can apply your technical expertise to bring new chemical products and technologies to market, working closely with chemists, engineers, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities   Lead the development of new chemical processes from bench scale through pilot plant to commercial scale.
Optimize existing processes to improve yield, reduce costs, and enhance sustainability.
Conduct thorough process characterization studies, including kinetic and thermodynamic analysis.
Design and execute experiments to evaluate process parameters and identify critical control points.
Prepare detailed process documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, and operating procedures.
Collaborate with research scientists and manufacturing personnel to ensure seamless technology transfer.
Requirements   M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in process development and scale-up within the chemical industry.
Strong knowledge of reaction engineering, separations, and process simulation tools.
Proficiency in experimental design and statistical analysis.
Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
