Our client is seeking an innovative Industrial Engineer with a specialization in automation and robotics to join their team in Kimberley . This role will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems and robotic solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency, safety, and productivity. You will work on cutting-edge projects, integrating advanced technologies into existing production lines and developing new automated workflows.
This hybrid position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with on-site teams while maintaining some flexibility. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of automation principles and a passion for leveraging technology to drive operational excellence.
- Design, develop, and implement automated systems and robotic cells for manufacturing processes.
- Evaluate and select appropriate automation technologies and equipment based on project requirements and ROI analysis.
- Program and troubleshoot industrial robots and automated machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and mechanical engineers, to integrate automation solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation for automated systems, including control logic, operating procedures, and maintenance schedules.
- Analyze production data to identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement of existing automated processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering with a specific focus on automation and robotics.
- Proven experience with industrial robot programming (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) and PLC systems.
- Strong understanding of automation principles, control systems, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software for designing automated work cells and layouts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
