Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to lead initiatives in automation and robotics within their advanced manufacturing facilities in Kimberley . This role is critical for evaluating, selecting, implementing, and optimizing automated systems to enhance production efficiency, safety, and scalability. You will be responsible for analyzing current processes, identifying opportunities for automation, and managing the integration of robotic solutions.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background in automation technologies and a proven ability to drive transformative change in an industrial setting.
- Assess manufacturing processes to identify viable opportunities for automation and robotics implementation.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend appropriate automation technologies and robotic systems.
- Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of automated production cells and systems.
- Develop programming and operational logic for automated machinery and robotic arms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automated systems into existing workflows.
- Provide training and technical support for the operation and maintenance of automated equipment.
- Monitor performance of automated systems, identify issues, and implement improvements for optimal efficiency and reliability.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a significant focus on automation and robotics .
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting automated manufacturing systems.
- Proficiency with PLC programming, HMI development, and industrial robot programming (e.g., FANUC, KUKA).
- Strong understanding of sensor technology, machine vision, and control systems.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
