Our client seeks a skilled Senior Automation Engineer with a strong background in industrial automation and control systems. You will design, implement, and optimize automation processes while leading projects that drive advancement within the organization. This role requires collaboration with the engineering team and a passion for control systems and innovation in the Northern Cape region.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA)
• Program and troubleshoot PLC platforms, e.g. Siemens, Allen-Bradley
• Develop and maintain system documentation
• Lead projects from concept to commissioning
• Provide support and training to operations staff
Requirements:
• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
• 6+ years in industrial automation engineering
• Proficiency in PLC and HMI/SCADA development
• Experience with robotics preferred
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
