Sports Event Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is looking for an organized and energetic Sports Event Coordinator to assist in the planning and execution of various sporting events in and around Kimberley . You will support the event management team with logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site support, ensuring that events run smoothly and meet organizational objectives. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of sports event management within the Northern Cape .

• Assist in the planning and coordination of all logistical aspects of sporting events.
• Liaise with vendors, venues, and participants to ensure smooth event operations.
• Manage event registration processes and participant communications.
• Provide on-site support during events, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Help develop event timelines, budgets, and promotional materials.
• Collect post-event feedback and contribute to evaluation reports.

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Event Management, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in event coordination or event support roles.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Enthusiasm for sports and a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, in the Kimberley area.
