Procurement Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Procurement Officer to manage and execute purchasing activities for their operations in Kimberley . This role is critical for ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining inventory levels. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and ensuring the quality of procured items, contributing directly to operational success.

• Source and procure materials, equipment, and services according to specifications and company standards.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible pricing, terms, and delivery conditions.
• Manage supplier performance and build strong, collaborative relationships.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock is available to meet operational demands.
• Ensure compliance with all company procurement policies and procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Understanding of supply chain best practices relevant to the Kimberley region.
