Environmental Services Assistant

About the Role

Our client requires an Environmental Services Assistant to contribute to the cleanliness and hygiene of facilities in Kimberley. This role is fundamental to ensuring a safe, healthy, and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors (if in a healthcare setting) or employees and clients. You will perform a variety of cleaning and sanitation duties, waste management, and potentially assist with minor maintenance tasks.

• Perform general cleaning duties in assigned areas, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to maintain hygiene standards.
• Manage and dispose of general waste and recycling according to established procedures.
• Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies in designated locations.
• Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks or report any facility issues observed.

• Experience in a cleaning or janitorial role , preferably in a professional or institutional setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks.
