Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Environmental Hygiene Technician to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation within their premises in Kimberley . This role is crucial for maintaining a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will be responsible for a wide array of cleaning and sanitation tasks, utilizing best practices and appropriate equipment. The ideal candidate is diligent, reliable, and possesses a strong understanding of hygiene protocols and safety measures, contributing directly to the operational excellence and well-being of the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of all assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common spaces.
- Safely operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals, ensuring proper storage and usage.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and company policies.
- Properly handle and dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with established procedures.
- Respond to emergency cleaning needs and maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the premises.
- Previous experience in a professional cleaning, janitorial, or sanitation role.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, materials, and equipment, and their safe application.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
- Physical capacity to perform demanding cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting.
