About the Role  Our client is seeking an experienced Research Scientist with a strong background in Pharmacology to join their innovative research division in Kimberley . This role is essential for advancing our understanding of drug mechanisms and developing new therapeutic strategies. You will lead and execute pre-clinical studies, analyze drug efficacy and safety profiles, and collaborate closely with a diverse team of scientists and clinicians.

This hybrid position allows for remote contribution on data analysis and reporting, alongside essential hands‑on laboratory work at our state‑of‑the‑art facility. It is an exciting opportunity for a skilled pharmacologist to make significant contributions to drug development and patient care.

Key Responsibilities   Design, conduct, and interpret in vivo and in vitro pharmacology studies to evaluate drug candidates.
Develop and validate novel assay systems for assessing drug target engagement and efficacy.
Analyze and report on pharmacological data, including dose‑response relationships, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics.
Collaborate with chemists and biologists to advance lead optimization programs.
Contribute to the preparation of scientific publications, grant proposals, and regulatory documents.
Mentor junior researchers and provide scientific guidance.
Requirements   Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Toxicology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant research experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
Strong knowledge of drug discovery and development processes.
Hands‑on experience with a variety of pharmacological assays and models.
Proven ability to design and execute complex experiments and analyze data rigorously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, suitable for both remote and on‑site collaboration in Kimberley .
