Merchandising Coordinator - FMCG Retail

About the Role

Our client, a prominent name in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Merchandising Coordinator to support their retail operations in Kimberley . This role is vital in ensuring that our client's products are visually appealing, effectively displayed, and optimally positioned on retail shelves to maximize sales and brand presence. You will work closely with the sales team and retail partners to implement merchandising strategies, monitor stock levels, and execute promotional displays.

This position offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute directly to the success of various FMCG brands at the point of sale.

• Implement and maintain product displays and planograms according to company standards and retail partner agreements across various outlets.
• Ensure optimal stock levels and product placement on shelves to maximize visibility and sales opportunities for FMCG products.
• Coordinate with the sales team and store managers to execute promotional campaigns and new product launches effectively.
• Monitor competitor merchandising activities and provide feedback on market trends and opportunities.
• Conduct regular store visits to assess display effectiveness, identify stock issues, and report on merchandising conditions.
• Maintain accurate records of merchandising activities, store compliance, and inventory levels at retail locations.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a certificate in marketing or merchandising is advantageous.
• 1-3 years of experience in retail merchandising, sales support, or a related role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Strong understanding of retail store operations and visual merchandising principles.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with retail staff and sales representatives.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Kimberley region.
