About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Agricultural Sales Representative to promote and sell agricultural products and services within the Kimberley region. This hybrid role involves building strong relationships with farmers, cooperatives, and agricultural businesses, understanding their needs, and offering effective solutions. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, providing product support, and contributing to the growth of our client's market presence in the Northern Cape .

This position requires excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of the agricultural industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve targets for agricultural products (e.g., fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, equipment).
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients in the agricultural sector.
  • Identify customer needs and effectively communicate the benefits and features of our client's products and services.
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers regarding product application and farm management.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Manage sales territories, including scheduling client visits and reporting on sales activities.
  • Process orders accurately and ensure timely delivery of products.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the agricultural industry.
  • Strong understanding of farming practices, crop production, and related agricultural inputs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, balancing field sales with office-based planning.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and a willingness to travel frequently within the Kimberley and surrounding areas.
