About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Software QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of their software products in Kimberley . You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test strategies, identifying defects, and working closely with the development team to resolve issues. This role is crucial for delivering high-quality, user-friendly software that meets our client's exacting standards.
You will have the opportunity to shape the QA processes, implement automation, and contribute to a culture of quality excellence in a dynamic tech environment.
- Develop, implement, and maintain detailed test plans and test cases for new and existing software.
- Execute manual and automated tests to identify software defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Design and implement automated testing frameworks and scripts to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Track and report on test progress, defects, and test results.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the overall software development process.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Proven experience in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Postman).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies and SDLC.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
