Regional Transport Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive Regional Transport Coordinator to manage and optimize transportation operations within the Northern Cape region, based in Kimberley . This hybrid role demands strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate driver activities, manage schedules, and ensure efficient delivery routes. You will play a vital role in maintaining the flow of goods, liaising with drivers, customers, and the central dispatch team to ensure seamless logistical operations.

Your contribution will directly impact service delivery and operational efficiency.

• Coordinate and manage a team of drivers operating within the Northern Cape region.
• Plan and optimize daily delivery and pickup routes, considering efficiency and timeliness.
• Monitor driver activities and provide support to ensure adherence to schedules and protocols.
• Act as a primary point of contact for drivers, addressing operational issues and concerns.
• Liaise with customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any transportation-related queries.
• Maintain accurate records of driver logs, delivery confirmations, and vehicle status using designated software.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a dispatch , logistics coordination, or transport planning role.
• Proficiency with route planning tools and fleet management systems .
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a hybrid environment.
• Strong understanding of the Kimberley area and its transport infrastructure.
• Valid driver's license; PDP preferred.
