About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Planner to join their distribution centre team in Kimberley . This role is crucial for optimizing the flow of goods, ensuring efficient scheduling of inbound and outbound transportation, and coordinating with various stakeholders to meet delivery timelines. You will be responsible for planning optimal routes, managing carrier relationships, and resolving logistical challenges. • Develop and execute efficient transportation plans for inbound and outbound shipments from the Kimberley distribution centre.
• Coordinate with carriers and drivers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring adherence to timelines.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any potential delays or disruptions.
• Maintain accurate logistics documentation, including manifests, proof of deliveries, and reports.
• Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
• Collaborate with warehouse operations to ensure smooth transitions of goods.

• Proven experience in Logistics Planning or a related transportation role.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and route optimization software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of South African road networks and transportation regulations is advantageous.
