Our client is hiring a Senior Accountant that will form part of a professional advisory team delivering accounting, tax, and general advisory services to a client portfolio. The role requires a high level of technical competence, independence, and client engagement, with a strong focus on quality service delivery, compliance, and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Accounting Services
- Take full responsibility for assigned client portfolios and work independently
- Deliver monthly financial accounting services
- Prepare and review reconciliations of financial statement line items
- Compile annual financial statements in accordance with applicable reporting standards
- Propose appropriate accounting treatments aligned with financial reporting standards
- Perform provisional and income tax calculations
- Prepare, reconcile, and submit VAT returns
Review & Leadership
- Review work performed by junior team members and provide constructive feedback
- Identify errors and propose appropriate corrective actions
- Support, train, and coach junior staff to enhance technical and personal development
- Present training and provide technical guidance where required
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Interrogate existing processes and propose efficiency improvements, with a focus on technology
- Ensure adherence to deadlines and budgetary requirements
- Maintain accurate records and comply with internal policies and procedures
- Adhere to risk management, quality assurance standards, and regulatory requirements
- Take ownership of personal development through performance management and feedback
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Eligible to register as a Chartered Accountant (SA) or already registered, or
Registered Professional Accountant (SA), and
BCom degree or equivalent accounting qualification with completed SAIPA or SAICA articles, or
Matric with Mathematics and Accounting, completed SAIPA or SAICA articles, and a minimum of three years’ relevant post-article experience
Other Requirements
Proficient in Afrikaans and English
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience in Draftworx, Xero, Dext or Hubdoc, Skytax (Accfin) and SARS e-Filing (advantageous)
Skills and Competencies

Location
Offices located in Kimberley,
- Position is Remote, with some traveling
Remuneration:
Salary is negotiable
